Introduction
Welcome to Izlenim HTML Hyphenator!
This software is created to make web pages look more beautiful. Izlenim HTML Hyphenator which I will refer to as IHH from now and all kinds of pages will be referred to as document. IHH can add hyphenation marks into any document. This makes your page have dashes at the end of some of the lines where the word can not fit, but some part of it can fit, of course for this to happen the word must have syllables where hyphenation marks can be inserted in the first place. Not all words can be hyphenated as they have only one syllable.
The paragraphs in the document doesn't have to be justified like this help file, it can work in non justified paragraphs as well, but as this programs purpose is to make pages look more professional like printed books, newspapers and magazines you should hyphenate only paragraphs where justify is open.
IHH hyphenates a document in 2 steps first it looks in its hyphenation word list. This list contains over onehundered and sixty thousand words with their hyphenation marks added. After this step if the word could not be found in the hyphenation list, it applies an algorithm called TEX to the word, this is a pattern algorithm where over 5000 patters of hyphenation are searched within the word.
A hyphenated document will not look as good as a newspaper, the reason is currently beyond what html offers. Microsoft Internet Explorer and newer versions of Netscape and Opera when justifying a paragraph increases the space between the words, but in professional typesetting this space can be decreased in some lines (this is like taking 1 pixel away from each space and making room for one or two more letters at the end). Even the space between each letter can change in printed typesetting. Nevertheless IHH does a wonderful job on 2-3 column web pages as well as pages with images aliened to the left, right or center inside the paragraphs. How Does Izlenim HTML Hyphenator Work?
Starting from Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 there was introduced the  code. This code is used to tell MSIE that it can put a hyphenation mark at that postion inside the word. This code also works for Opera and Netscape as it is a HTML Standard.
Izlenim HTML Hyphenator adds the  everywhere it can within a word this allows the document to be hyphenated even if the font size, font type or the screen resolution is different on the target computer.

How To Use Izlenim HTML Hyphenator
When you run the program for the first time it will create an index of the hyphenation dictionary. This index takes aronud 20MB and is used to quiken the search in the 160000 words hyphenation dictionary. After the startup screen ends you'll face the program itself. If for some reason your wordlist should be destroyed you can recreate it from the file menu.
Most parts of the program are similar to any editor, so i wont go into those parts as you can try yourself, and all buttons have hints if you should find the images different than what you are used to. Lets begin hyphenating a document.

First step is to open it, either by using the toolbar or menu open the file you wish to hyphenate.

Now that the file is open you can browse throug it in the editor. You can click on preview icon to open it as it is being displayed. Non of the changes you make will be effective until you save your file.

Hyphenation can be done in two ways:
1- Select the text you wish to hyphenate then pressing the hyphenate button in the toolbar.

2- Choose hyphenate all from File menu.

For most i will recomend using the 1st way. As this gives more control of what you wish to hyphenate.

To undo any hyphenation you can etiher delete all the  codes inserted by IHH (the hard way) or select the whole docmunet and click on Hyphenate again (the easy way), so if any part of the selected text contain one or more  codes IHH just removes them all and restors the document or selection to the unhyphenated state.

You can preview your work at any moment, and experiment of how hyphenation works by resezing the MSIE window.

A tip is to always have the paragraph justified either do this using a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) Editor or adding the ALIGN=JUSTIFY into your <P> so make it become <P ALIGN=JUSTIFY> also the tag <DIV ALIGN=JUSTIFY> will work.

To prevent accidentaly overwriting any document the save function will always promot with the save as dialog. Here you can decide if you wish to write over the existing file or save it with a new name.
